Intellectual Decisions

Most people are governed either by their intellect or by their emotions. In a lot of situations the smart thing to do would be to make a decision based on a person's intellect. For example if someone had been saving money to buy something that they need, they would buy a car rather than something such as a dog. A person who relies on emotions to make decisions might have chosen to get the dog. Responsibility comes along with both options, but a car would be more useful because it is a way of transportation.
There are positive and negative consequences of relying on intellect to make decisions. One positive is that a person will think more about a situation before they act on it. For example, if someone gets a low grade on a test they might get angry. If they get angry they will either act on intellect or their emotions. If they react on their intellect, they will realize that if they would have spent more time studying they would have done better, and decide to study more next time. But if they make their decision based on their emotions, they will let their anger show.
One negative consequence is that someone might not be as social. If someone always bases their decisions on intellect they might not be as interesting as someone who sometimes rules their decisions on their emotions. Other people might want to surround themselves with more emotional decision makers rather than an intellectual decision maker. Even though it might not be as interesting, basing a person's decisions on intellect would be the better decision in the long run because they are most likely to choose the best decisions at that time.

Campanionship

Campanionship and love are two very important qualities that people need to experience for survival. One reason is because the need to be loved is a natural feeling. Every person wants to feel love because it creates a happy atmosphere. For example if someone is having a bad day at school, when they come home their family can help put them in a better mood by showing love. Just by cooking dinner or having a nice conversation with them is a great way to cheer them up.
Another reason why love and campanionship are necessary for survial is because with it a person wont feel lonely or depressed. Frankenstein has no one to talk to when he needs to let out his feelings. His only choice is to keep all his emotions bottled up inside of him which makes him feel depressed. This also makes him feel lonely because he has no one to have campanionship with or show love to. He doesnt know anyone that he can have that bond with, which is why he asks Victor to create him a female campanion.
One more reason why love is important is because without love a person can turn on other people just like the monster of Frankenstein did. The moster wants nothing more than to have someone love him. Even though he tries many ways to get people to like him, they always reject him because of his apperance. If a person has never felt love and has never had the experience to have campanionship just like Frankenstein never did, they are going to be more hateful towards others. Love brings out the best in people but without it nothing good is brought out, only hatred.

Rejected

One situation in which a person might feel that they have been repeatedly rejected by others would be if they had to enroll in a new school. Other students at first may not except the new students. Especially if it is in middle school or high school because it is more difficult to fit in. For example, anyone might not want to talk to her/him to get to know them if they dont seem interesting. Another example would be if the students who have been attending that school longer had to pick groups for a class activity, they are more likely to pick the students that they already know which will leave the new student to be picked last.
These scenarios could make the student feel like an outcast because they were rejected. He/she might also feel lowsy, depressed, or lonely because they are not fitting in well. As a result he/she might feel as if no one wants to be their friend. Along with this she/he could even feel desperate for a friend. In response to this she might change certain things about herself to try to fit in better.
This situation may occur at first for a new student but eventually will get better. After a few days the new student may work up the courage to talk to someone and they may become friends. Once he/she has made a friend, the friend will most likely introduce the new student to their friends. Therefore this will resolve the problem and he/she will no longer feel rejected.
