I think person responsibility is being aware of the situations that either you put yourself into or the situations that others may put you into. Person reponsibility is not only being aware of these situations, but also how you handle them. For example, if you witness someone being bullied at school, the right thing to do to show that you have personal responsibility would be to help the victim or get help for them. If you just walk away and ignore the situation then that does not show personal responsibility. It is important to have personal responsibility because not only does it show character, but it shows that you can handle a situation if it goes wrong.
When something "bad" happens that involves you, it depends on the situation for wether or not you bear some responsibility for it. As I said earlier, if you witnessed someone being bullied, you do have some responibility. Even though you are not the one bullying, you should do something to help the victim. If a situation ever arises that there is nothing that you can do, then you bear no responsibility if you had no part in the situation. The only responsibility that you could have is to let the people already involved in the situation to take care of it.
